Exit to next world

To Dekovir, (I hope you are the correct person for this question)

Once I have located all the ancient scrolls and opened the "Exit" portal, how do I go about getting to the next world.  Are there still things to conquer below?

In campaign you can click on the portal and move on to the next world. You'll be able to come back and continue playing the world you've left at any time. It's entirely up to you what to do there. Outside of campaign mode portal does nothing.
