"No wool-growing-disease"/farm-bugs

i already reported but due to comments (and i had it a second time happening too yesterday) it seems to happen more often. (like once in 20 different games)

there are sometimes games where the sheep do not grow wool at all- not the wild sheep nor the ones in farms. In farms it says "already cut" but this never happened.

All sheeps in the world have same "hair-length" and none grows wool.

Another issue (with wool growing sheep):
if giving order to cut sheeps wool and then cancel the order, thereafter it's not more possible to cut this animal and says "scissors shortage"

Wait for about 5-10 seconds and scissors will be available again.
About sheeps, never seen this bug before, we'll have this in mind.

I had it twice already (but i play a lot of new games) and in steam-forum also at least 2 people have reported about this.

It's somehow in the save - exit and re-enter does not help. In my case it always happened together with the issue/glitch when the gras border at new surface-dirt does not appear. Also this non-appearing gras border is somehow embedded into the save. I suspect some relation of both. Both happens like in 1 out of 20 games and in my case always together -  to high for a coincidence

Could you tell me the settings of your game with "no wool-growing-disease"?

mostly i play normal weather, sandbox, medium or large maps and first world.
I tried this weekend to have such game on purpose - no success yet. Maybe chance is smaller than 1:20. 
As soon as i got some save containing this behaviour i will upload it.

But you don't have scissors.

I had scissors, one of my experiments was to sell them all. That didn't affect their growth.

In my screenshot, see how the sheep are in there middle state out of the three states (nude-shorn, middle, big puffy with wool). My sheep never go big-puffy any more.

I think I've found it!

I always play at 1x speed ... and it appears they don't grow any wool at 1x.

1) 18 minutes to assault, freshly shorn
2) 2 minutes after assault, still no growth

I then set to 2x

3) 5 minutes later they'd all grown wool

... and 5 minutes later at 3x they're fully grown wool Yay, I have a workaround, need to go 2x for 10 minutes to get some wool

I was playing your save in 1x speed and all your sheeps become grown after 20 min of waiting...
Really strange, the most worst thing about that is that we can't catch this.

Did you notice that playing one save, you close it and go to another save and there (in your second save) the wool oof your lamas (or sheeps) grow slower? What is more, your first save got a lot more game time that your second slot?

Hmmm, I hadn't noticed. I've used up 8 slots with random plays over past 13 months of playing. I did try going back to another save and the sheep were all middle-grown there too, not fluffy.

Would you like me to upload my complete ~/appdata/roaming/dekovir directory? ... though it might be too big (about 1MB)

I also noticed these other features don't work in  1x versus working in 2x on my machine.

- Grass doesn't propagate in 1x, but as soon as I hit 2x it grows on bare dirt
- Using space-bar to change dwarfs doesn't update the health bar (works ok if clicking the < and > buttons)
