Explore a random generated worlds populated by dangerous creatures, build a dwarf fortress, gather resources.
You have control over a tribe of dwarves. You must give them orders, which they will carry out on their own.
You can craft dozens of different items: building blocks for houses, furniture, weapons, armor, and food for your dwarves.
You can speed up the movement of the dwarves, open small portals, illuminate dark caves and hurl fireballs.
Especially dangerous are the waves of monsters that appear from time to time from portals.

Blog about video games.

I decided that I wanted to see what the life of a dwarf king was like. As a result, I downloaded the game “Craft The World”, a town building/mining game that tasks you with guiding a group of dwarves on a journey of self discovery and cultural exploration that ultimately ends with the ramifications that result from unadulterated greed (it’s worth noting that Craft the World is an excellent game and I highly recommend it).

"Craft the World Preview"

It’s amazing that in an age where social media sends news of incredible scientific discoveries, world news, and cute kitten memes to the masses in an instant, a Steam Early Access game with awesome potential has been relatively unheard of among the wider gaming community.

"Let’s Craft the World: A Review"

I’m not sure where I first heard about the game, which is still in early access stages, but I was stoked to try it out this past weekend. Not sure what to expect, and having really not delved into any tower defense type games, I found it to be a charming and addicting game worth recommending.

"Craft the World"

Overall I can only recommend Craft the World very much. It is a perfect introduction to the "crafting sandbox" genre of games, with nicer graphics, dwarves who do much of the basic labor for you, and less harsh death penalties. And it is sufficiently different from other games of the genre to bring some new elements into it. The game is on Steam Early Access, but unlike some other games on that program Craft the World is already very much finished and stable. Recommended!

"Craft The World Review"

Craft The World puts you in charge of your own dwarf society that grows from a single dwarf to a thriving community of adventurers as you explore the randomly generated game worlds, collect resources, fight monsters, craft items, discover new technologies and much more.

Should You Play It?

Casual(Easy): At first the game may be a little hard before you learn it all and get your house made, but after that it just takes time and a little bit of creativity to be successful.

Casual(Quick Play Sessions): You can quit at any time and it will always save your progress, so you don't have to worry about the game being unplayable with a tight schedule.

Hardcore: Specifically hardcore players won't find anything too enticing about the game, since it is more about creativity, especially when you aren't in direct control of your dwarves.

Completionist: Nothing is unlocked for you to use in new games, you will always start over in the same situation. In game though, there is a large crafting tree for you to advance through.

Game Length: There is no real end to the game, since you just continue to grow your settlement and explore all of the land. With multiple randomly generated worlds to play on, this game will last you a long time.
